Thai - I Recommend . . . .

I love Thai food, but I usually stick to either chicken pad Thai, Cashew Chicken, or Thai beef salad because it is fairly similar at all Thai restaurants. But most recently I have become obsessed with a different dish because it tastes so different at each of the Thai restaurants I find, but it tastes delicious each time. It's fascinating.

The dish is called Spicy Garlic and you can order it with whatever meat you like, but I find its best with chicken. You can also pick the spiciness level that you want. That also depends on where I order it from, but generally I stick with medium. I love that it comes loaded with onions and in some cases different types of onions. One restaurant I frequent puts pepper in it, another puts fried garlic. Its a fun dish that has a lot of flavor and can make you sweat to the point that it feels good. If you have spent any time here you know that there are a lot of Thai restaurants here on the Emerald Coast. I can think of five on the same street in Fort Walton.

In the past I have gotten frustrated ordering because I come to expect the taste to go with what a menu item is named. But for some reason I don't mind so much with the Spicy Garlic Chicken. I love everything in it. It's delicious no matter what. It gives me motivation to go to all the different Thai restaurants in our area to see how they make it different. It's like having someone potato salad at a pot luck. It most likely isn't how your momma made, or how you make it, but hey not only can you learn something from it, you'll probably like it too.
